Really good article Alex, thanks. I'm not sure that the US will master the fiscal / re-distribution side of this issue though. Not just with how partisan things are there now, but their prize of winning the cold war is that any policy left of centre (or indeed right of centre in Europe) is described in derogatory terms as communist or socialist. I think there is a real psychological hurdle for American's to get over.
And thats for a country that hosts the big hyper scalars and can tax them to pay for re-distribution. What do middle income countries that didn't found Google do?
